About the Cause

The Salvation Army has been serving San Antonio since 1889, battling homelessness, hopelessness and hunger. They provide basic necessities of life to over 500,000 citizens each year; including food, clothing and shelter. These needs are met daily through multiple emergency food pantries; emergency women, families and men’s shelters; rehabilitation services; senior nutrition and affordable housing programs; youth and after school care; veterans’ services; permanent supportive and transitional housing; case management; and as needed disaster relief. Working to develop today’s youth The Salvation Army also offers our Boys and Girls Club for children ages 6-18.
